Meet Ryan
Licensed Therapist, Ordained Pastor
Ryan grew up in the Colorado mountains before making his way to North Carolina in 2011. That same year, out of his love for people and the church, he began his ministry in Chapel Hill. His passion for serving others led him to a new role in 2018 as the Director of Chaplaincy at a large retirement community, where he had the privilege of supporting older adults and individuals in hospice care.
Feeling a strong call to bridge the gap between Gospel-centered faith and evidence-based mental health, Ryan began training as a therapist in 2022. Today, he balances his time between providing mental health counseling and continuing his ministry at his church.
Ryan holds master's degrees in Christian theology from Duke University and mental health from Louisiana State University. He lives in Durham, NC, with his wife, three daughters, and one goofy labradoodle. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys camping, attending rock shows, and exploring new breweries.

Gospel Rooted
Hope is the root of all healing and Ryan's practice grounds mental health care in biblically oriented, theologically sound counseling. He is an ordained minister and holds a Masters of Divinity from Duke University.
Evidence Based
Ryan utilizes counseling methods that are clinically-proven and evidence-based. He is a licensed clinical associate through the NC Board of Social Work, and holds a master's degree in Social Work from Louisiana State University.
